‘Divanu Lugati’t-Turk’ exhibition set to travel Turkic world
The exhibition titled “Know That the Sun of State Rose in the Turkic Constellation,” dedicated to “Divanu Lugati’t-Turk”—the earliest dictionary of the Turkic language and a key cultural text—is set to tour multiple countries, connecting art enthusiasts and history buffs worldwide with Türkiye’s rich cultural heritage.
Celebrating Turkic identity through art, language
Organized by the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation in partnership with the Turkic World Foundation, the exhibition debuted at the National History Museum of the Kyrgyz Republic.
It coincides with the 11th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Organization of Turkic States, underscoring the identity of Turkic nations as civilization builders.
Immersive cultural experiences await
The exhibition offers an interactive dive into Turkic heritage, featuring unique words and artifacts that provide a glimpse into the deep cultural roots of Turkic civilization. A prominent display includes a comparative map centering on Turkistan, showing its evolution alongside a modern map.
Fashion designer Ezgi Karayel has also brought “Divanu Lugati’t-Turk” to life, showcasing men’s and women’s clothing inspired by descriptions in the text.
