A recently declassified CIA document revealed an extraordinary effort by the agency to confirm the existence of the legendary Ark of the Covenant using remote viewing, a technique involving extrasensory perception (ESP).

According to a report by Shane Galvin from the NY Post, the document, dated Dec. 5, 1988, claims that remote viewer #32 was tasked with identifying a mysterious target—later identified as the ark—in a secret Middle Eastern location. The viewer reported seeing the ark protected by “entities” with unknown powers, raising new questions about the artifact’s real existence.

Remote viewing session reveals Ark of the Covenant’s location

In a fascinating declassified CIA report, a remote viewer, tasked with identifying an unknown object, provided details suggesting the presence of the Ark of the Covenant. Unaware of the target’s identity, the remote viewer described a “container” made of wood, gold, and silver, resembling a coffin, adorned with seraphim (angelic figures). The target’s location, according to the viewer’s vision, was a secret underground facility surrounded by mosque domes and populated by Arabic-speaking men dressed in white.

The viewer’s description went on to detail how the object was hidden underground, within a dark and wet location. Additionally, the viewer connected the ark to powerful spiritual aspects, mentioning its role in ceremonies, memory, and resurrection.

Mysterious powers guard the ark

The remote viewer’s description took a more intriguing turn when they mentioned the presence of “entities” guarding the ark. These protectors, the document states, ensure that the container cannot be opened by anyone except those deemed authorized. According to the document, attempts to pry open the Ark or force it open would result in destruction by the container’s protectors, who use an unknown power to eliminate intruders.

These mysterious protectors have fueled speculation that the ark’s protection is far beyond what modern science understands, further complicating the quest to uncover the truth behind the artifact.

Experts challenge remote viewing findings

While the CIA document provides a fascinating account of the remote viewing session, not all experts are convinced by its claims. Retired U.S. Army Chief Warrant Joe McMoneagle, known as “remote viewer #1” and the first to conduct psychic experiments for the CIA, has questioned the validity of such remote-viewing exercises for locating historical relics.

McMoneagle, in an interview, asserted that remote viewing results cannot be trusted as absolute truth. He emphasized that the only way to verify the existence of the ark would be to physically locate it. “If someone claims that remote viewing proves the existence of something, such as the Ark of the Covenant, they must produce the Ark to substantiate their claim,” McMoneagle said.

A training exercise, not an intelligence mission

The CIA expert also noted that the session in question was likely not part of a serious intelligence operation, but instead a training exercise done on a whim. The remote viewing exercise, McMoneagle added, had no official mission and was not meant to be taken as evidence of the Ark’s existence.

Despite the remarkable details provided in the declassified document, the Ark of the Covenant remains a legendary artifact shrouded in mystery. Whether the remote viewing exercise truly uncovered its location or merely offered a speculative glimpse into the unknown is a question that remains unanswered.

What’s next for the ark?

The Ark of the Covenant, said to have once held the Ten Commandments, has fascinated historians, archaeologists, and religious scholars for centuries. Whether or not the CIA’s remote viewing session brings us closer to uncovering its real whereabouts is uncertain. However, the agency’s declassified documents have undoubtedly reignited interest in the artifact and the potential for uncovering one of history’s greatest mysteries.

While the ark continues to captivate imaginations, McMoneagle remains skeptical. “If they can produce the actual ark based on the information, it will be a surprise to me, as well as to many others,” he said.

As the search for the Ark of the Covenant continues in both the real world and through extraordinary means like remote viewing, the line between legend and reality blurs, leaving many to wonder if the Ark will ever be found.
