Bodrum Museum of Underwater Archaeology nominated for 2025 European Museum Award
Bodrum Museum of Underwater Archaeology has been nominated for the prestigious 2025 European Museum of the Year Award (EMYA).
The EMYA, presented annually since 1977 by the European Museum Forum (EMF), celebrates innovation and excellence in museums across Europe, particularly those that have been newly established or have undergone significant redevelopment within various cultural contexts.
Storied history of recognition and innovation
First honored with a Special Commendation in 1995, the Bodrum Museum of Underwater Archaeology has since undergone a remarkable transformation. The museum’s inclusion in the 2025 EMYA nomination comes after the successful completion of a major restoration project in 2021.
