Art from 20 countries showcased at Vienna Yunus Emre Institute
The Vienna Yunus Emre Institute (YEE) hosted an art exhibition featuring works from 20 artists across various countries as part of the “Intercultural Long Night” program, organized in collaboration with the International Cultural Diversity Organization (ICDO).
The weeklong exhibition, co-hosted by YEE and ICDO, marks the seventh edition of the “Intercultural Long Night,” which aims to bring together different cultures through artistic expression. The event saw participation from prominent guests, including Türkiye’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations in Vienna, Ambassador Levent Eler, alongside a large number of art enthusiasts and diplomats.
Yunus Emre Institute’s commitment to cultural exchange
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ayse Yorulmaz, director of Vienna YEE, highlighted the institute’s longstanding partnership with ICDO in hosting the annual “Intercultural Long Night” exhibitions.
“We are proud to display the works of distinguished artists from around the world and to provide a platform for emerging talent and art lovers alike,” Yorulmaz stated.
Promoting Turkish culture and global artistic connections
She emphasized YEE’s commitment not only to promoting Turkish culture globally but also to fostering cultural exchange by supporting artists from diverse backgrounds.
“As Türkiye’s official cultural institute, Yunus Emre Institute is dedicated to supporting art and artists worldwide. Our mission extends beyond introducing Turkish culture – we also aim to encourage cultural fusion and mutual understanding between different nations.”
Artists and enthusiasts engage in cross-cultural dialogue
Yorulmaz noted that the exhibition offers a valuable opportunity for artists and art enthusiasts to engage in dialogue, exchange ideas, and explore new perspectives in the world of art.
The exhibition continues to attract international attention, promoting a deeper appreciation of cultural diversity through the universal language of art.
