Antalya welcomes 2025 with Giacomo Puccini’s timeless opera Tosca

Antalya State Opera and Ballet (DOB) will kick off the New Year with a performance of the iconic opera Tosca. Known as one of the most frequently performed operas globally, Tosca will be presented to art enthusiasts on Jan. 4 at 8:00 p.m. at Hasim Iscan Cultural Center.
Dramatic opera featuring renowned conductors, performers
The masterpiece, composed by Italian composer Giacomo Puccini, is a defining work of dramatic opera. Directed by Yigit Gunsoy, a famous Italian conductor, Lorenzo Castriota will conduct this production.
The performance will bring 1800s Rome to life with an impressive stage design by Gulden Sayil and a lighting design by Mustafa Eski.
Stellar cast for Tosca
The cast features top talents, with Tosca portrayed by Nurdan Kucukekmekci, Cavaradossi by Goksay Yaran, Scarpia by Serhat Konukman, Angelotti by Yusuf Yildiz, Sagrestano by Taner Olcen, Spoletta by Mustafa Ozsamli, and Sciarrone by Toygarhan Atuner.
The Antalya DOB Chorus, under the direction of Mahir Seyrek, will provide the vocal support, with Fahrettin Arda serving as the concertmaster.
Children’s chorus conductor Sinem Emine Ulusoy will also add her talent to this breathtaking production.
