‘All festive vibes’: Historic Eminonu preferred for Eid shopping in Istanbul

For many Istanbulites, Eminonu stands out with its variety of Turkish coffee, Turkish delight, chocolate and breakfast products during Eid al-Fitr shopping

The historic Eminonu bazaar, the center of shopping in Istanbul, is experiencing one of the year’s busiest days on the evening of Eid al-Fitr.

In the bazaar where colorful candy and chocolate varieties adorn the stalls, citizens queued in front of shops selling freshly roasted Turkish coffee.

In the bazaar, which is visited by tourists and Istanbulites, products are suitable for buyers with a range of budgets.

Citizens also shopped for cheese, olives and similar products to be placed on breakfast tables, as well as festive Turkish delights and sugar, which are available in dozens of varieties such as plain, rose and double-roasted.

Some citizens went from shop to shop in Mahmutpasa to buy festive clothes for their children.
