Special screenings have also been organized for areas impacted by the recent Kahramanmaras-centered earthquake, reinforcing the festival’s commitment to community and solidarity through art.
Festival with rich legacy
First launched in 1969 as a tribute to Cukurova’s thriving cotton industry, the Golden Boll Film Festival has grown into an internationally recognized event, hosting films from around the world and drawing cinema enthusiasts from every corner of the industry.
After a hiatus, it was revitalized in the 1990s and has expanded to include categories like student short films and Adana-themed screenplay competitions, reinforcing its reputation as a dynamic platform for creative expression.
