16th International Turkish Theater Festival successfully concludes in Konya

The 16th “1,000 Breaths, 1 Voice – International Turkish Theater Producing Countries Festival” in Konya has concluded.

The festival, organized by the General Directorate of State Theaters of Türkiye, ended with a captivating “Cuba Flamenca” performance by the Cuban ensemble on its final day.

The play blended flamenco dance and music with Cuban dance and music, staging a contemplative approach and bringing the audience rhythms full of energy and joy.

The audience appreciated the play – written and directed by Ana Rosa Meneses.

As part of the festival, the Van State Theater team staged the play “Enchanted Prince” at the Selcuklu Congress Center.

This year, the festival featured theater groups from Spain, Tatarstan, Azerbaijan, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), Brazil, Cuba, Iran and 11 local groups. The event united countries performing Turkish theater abroad with theater lovers in Konya.

Throughout the festival, 29 plays were performed 44 times on 10 stages in the city, delighting art enthusiasts.
