In June, Volkswagen continued to be the top choice in Türkiye’s online used car market. The report, compiled from business intelligence software Indicata’s second-hand online market analysis, revealed significant trends and sales figures.

Total listings and sales

In June, there were 330,405 corporate listings posted, marking an 11% increase from the previous year but a 20% drop from May. Out of these listings, 156,974 vehicles, accounting for 48%, were sold.

Sales experienced a 2% decrease from May and a 13% decrease from June 2023.

Top brands

Volkswagen led the sales with 19,810 units, maintaining its top position for the last five months (excluding January).

Fiat followed with 18,676 sales, Renault with 17,891 sales, Ford with 15,477 sales, and BMW with 8,949 sales.

The top 10 models accounted for 33% of the total passenger car sales. Overall, total sales reached 126,567 units.

Passenger cars

In the passenger car category, the Fiat Egea led with 6,493 sales, followed by the Renault Clio with 5,550 sales, the Volkswagen Passat with 5,173 sales, the Renault Megane with 5,008 sales, and the Toyota Corolla with 3,724 sales.

The top 10 models accounted for 33% of the total passenger car sales, with overall sales reaching 126,567 units.

Light commercial vehicles

In the light commercial vehicle category, the Fiat Doblo led with 3,968 sales, followed by the Ford Tourneo Courier with 3,767 sales and the Fiat Fiorino with 3,532 sales.

The top 10 models represented 72% of total light commercial vehicle sales, with overall sales reaching 30,407 units.

Data analysis and sources

Indicata analyzes over 450,000 used car data points daily, leveraging machine learning, artificial intelligence and big data. The sales data is derived from over 40,000 institutions and organizations trading used cars online, including platforms like Sahibinden, Arabam, Letgo, VavaCars, Leaseplan, Intercity, and Otokoc. The report excludes individual listings, focusing on corporate listings that are either revised or sold.
