Vodafone Türkiye’s youth-oriented brand, FreeZone, announced a collaboration with the popular mobile football simulation game, eFootball, serving free mobile data to its customers to play the game.

The popular football simulation video game, efootball, a series developed by the Japanese video game company Konami, was initially released under the name Pro Evolution Soccer (PES).

The series was rebranded as eFootball in 2021 to coincide with its transition to a free-to-play model, with its compatibility with mobile devices and consoles, allowing it to reach a broad audience.

Meltem Bakiler Sahin, Vodafone Türkiye’s Deputy CEO, highlighted eFootball’s popularity, as it emerged as the most played game in the football category over the past six months, according to AI ’24 figures.

Sahin stated that Freezone’s goal is to be the top choice among young people for both gaming and engaging with the gaming ecosystem “to achieve this, we are expanding the world of FreeZone benefits with new offerings tailored to gaming applications,” she added.
