US-based SambaNova to announce ‘exciting’ collaboration in Türkiye: CEO
Rodrigo Liang, CEO and co-founder of U.S.-based AI chip startup SambaNova, revealed that the company is on the verge of announcing an “exciting” collaboration in Türkiye.
Speaking at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland on Tuesday, Liang shared his insights with business-focused Bloomberg HT, emphasizing SambaNova’s focus on improving energy efficiency and performance in artificial intelligence.
“Artificial intelligence requires a significant amount of energy, and we are focusing on addressing this issue. We aim to increase performance tenfold while simultaneously reducing costs by the same margin. Currently, we are working on increasing speed while decreasing power consumption, which necessitates an entirely new architecture. If we succeed, we will be able to utilize AI in a highly efficient and powerful manner,” Liang explained.
SambaNova’s ‘exciting’ collaboration with Türkiye
Liang hinted at the upcoming partnership with Türkiye, stating, “There is a collaboration that excites us, and we will be announcing it soon.”
Founded in November 2017 in Palo Alto, California, SambaNova is at the forefront of developing advanced systems platforms for running AI applications across data centers, the cloud, and edge environments.
The company is backed by a notable group of investors, including SoftBank Vision Fund 2, BlackRock-managed funds and accounts, Intel Capital, GV, Walden International, Temasek, GIC, Redline Capital, Atlantic Bridge Ventures, WRVI Capital, and others.
