Türkiye’s Cappadocia shines among foreign tourists, visitor numbers up over 10%

The world-renowned region of Cappadocia, located in central Türkiye’s Nevsehir province, continues to attract a growing number of international visitors, with foreign tourist arrivals increasing by more than 10% in the first two months of 2025.
The number of tourists visiting Cappadocia rose from approximately 310,000 in the first two months of last year to around 340,000 during the same period this year, Nevsehir Governor Ali Fidan said on Sunday.

Fidan noted that the region’s historical, cultural, and natural landmarks—recognized on UNESCO’s World Heritage List—continue to draw significant interest from across the globe.
‘We expect 2025 to be a record-breaking year for Cappadocia’
Highlighting the impact of the Ramadan Bayram (Eid al-Fitr) holiday, Fidan said hotel occupancy rates in the area have exceeded 90%. He emphasized Cappadocia’s growing status as a top destination each year.

“I want to say that Nevsehir is one of the best places to spend the Bayram holiday,” he said. “We expect 2025 to be a record-breaking year for tourism in Cappadocia, and we have made all the necessary preparations accordingly.”
