The Turkish Directorate General of Civil Aviation (SHGM) announced the signing of a new Air Transport Agreement between Türkiye and the United Kingdom.

The agreement was finalized during negotiations in London on July 30-31.

The updated agreement revises the rules governing air travel between the two countries, facilitating an increase in both passenger and cargo flights.

Additionally, the two countries have agreed to enhance cooperation in the aviation sector, focusing on training and digitalization, with the U.K. Civil Aviation Authority playing a key role.
