Türkiye to host international conference on ‘Monetary Policy in Emerging Markets’
The Central Bank of Türkiye (CBRT) is set to host an international academic conference on monetary policy in emerging markets. The event, organized by the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER), will take place in Istanbul on May 7-8, 2025.
Leading global financial institutions, including the U.S. Federal Reserve (Fed), the European Central Bank (ECB), the International Monetary Fund (IMF), and the World Bank, are expected to send representatives to participate in the conference.

According to the statement from the CBRT, the conference aims to encourage research into monetary policy within emerging markets and analyze past experiences of developing economies. The NBER, known for its research in economic issues, will lead discussions on topics under the theme of “Monetary Policy in Emerging Markets.”
