Rifat Hisarciklioglu, the chairman of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), has been re-elected as the head of the World Chambers Federation (WCF).

According to a written statement from TOBB on Saturday, Hisarciklioglu, who has served as WCF president since 2023, secured the majority of votes to continue in the role for another three-year term, to begin his new tenure on July 1.

Hisarciklioglu highlighted the challenges facing the global economy and trade system, emphasizing that WCF plays a crucial role in defending free and fair trade amid rising protectionism and tariff wars.

“During my presidency, our primary focus will be to support a rules-based free and fair trade system,” he said.
