Türkiye’s renowned restaurant chain, Tavuk Dunyasi, opened its first U.S. branch in Tysons, Virginia, as part of its international expansion under the Gagawa brand.

Tavuk Dunyasi CEO Volkan Mumcu announced the opening on his LinkedIn post, expressing confidence in the brand’s appeal. “We believe that everyone, globally, should have access to a high-quality, delicious, and affordable meal in an environment where they feel appreciated, and we are committed to bringing this opportunity to everyone, no matter where they live,” he stated.

Founded in 2012, Tavuk Dunyasi reached its 250th outlet in Türkiye in 2021. The company launched Gagawa in 2022 to oversee its international operations, entering the European market with a restaurant in Madrid, Spain.

Tavuk Dunyasi now operates in over 320 locations across 55 cities in Türkiye, along with four outlets in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), 11 in Spain and one in Portugal.
