Turkish Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Simsek is set to visit the U.K. capital, London, to attend Bank of America’s (also known as BofA) conference on Jan. 15 and a Chatham House event on Jan. 16.

Simsek will meet global fund managers during the event hosted by Bank of America at the Canary Wharf building, evaluating Türkiye’s investment opportunities.

High-profile Turkish companies set to accompany Simsek at BofA’s London event

Representatives from major Turkish companies in Borsa Istanbul, Türkiye’s stock exchange market, such as Akbank, Anadolu Group, BIM, Coca-Cola Türkiye, Dogus Otomotiv, Ford Otomotiv, Erdemir, Koc Holding, Migros, MLP Saglik, Pegasus, Sabanci Holding, Tupras, Turkish Airlines, Turk Telekom, Turkcell, Türkiye Is Bankasi, Sisecam, Vakifbank and Yapi Kredi will engage with investors during the conference.

The event will commence with a welcome speech by Bank of America Securities’ EMEA Region President Brian Weinstein at 9:30 a.m., followed by Minister Simsek’s presentation at 9:45 a.m.

The conference will conclude on Jan. 16.

Minister Simsek is also scheduled to speak at an event hosted by the London-based think tank Chatham House on Jan. 16.

The session titled “How Does Türkiye Navigate Global Economic Order?” will explore ongoing geopolitical risks, economic fragmentation and power rivalries shaping global markets, as well as Türkiye’s strategy to address potential threats and opportunities.
