Turkish electromechanics giant to procure power transformers for Spain
Astor Energy, a Turkish electromechanics company, signed an agreement with Castiinversiones Renovables SL, a Spanish subsidiary of BP, to procure two power transformers for a solar energy project.
According to a statement from the company on Friday, the transformers, with a capacity of 125 megavolt amperes (MVA) and specifications of 220/30 kilovolts (kV), are expected to be manufactured within eight months and delivered by June 2025.
The collaboration aims to meet Spain’s growing energy demands and strengthen Astor Energy’s presence in Europe.
Alisan Tastan, Deputy General Manager of Astor Enerji, emphasized the company’s reputation for supplying products to domestic and international power generation facilities.
“Astor Enerji continues to support European distribution and transmission companies in meeting their energy needs from renewable sources with our transformers and switching products,” he stated.
