Turkish companies to launch development projects in four Libyan cities

Two Turkish construction firms have signed contracts with the Libya Development and Reconstruction Fund to implement new development projects across four Libyan cities, including the country’s second-largest city, Benghazi.

Contracts signed for infrastructure and health sector upgrades
According to a statement from the Libya Development and Reconstruction Fund, the agreements were signed with Libco Insaat and Cevahir Yapi.
The contracts cover a range of infrastructure and health sector improvements in Benghazi, Al-Bayda, Shahhat, and Tobruk.
The scope of the projects includes:
- Road construction and maintenance
- Urban infrastructure upgrades
- Construction and rehabilitation of specialized public hospitals
While the total contract value has not been disclosed, the initiative aims to improve regional healthcare services and bolster essential infrastructure in a region long affected by political fragmentation and conflict.

Turkish involvement in Libyan reconstruction
Turkish companies continue to play an active role in Libya’s reconstruction efforts. In Benghazi in particular, Turkish firms have been involved in multiple construction and infrastructure projects.
The latest agreements mark another step in strengthening economic cooperation between Türkiye and Libya, especially in post-conflict recovery and development.
