Kemal Sahin, Chairman of the Board of Directors at Türkiye-based Sahinler Holding, announced plans to expand its ready-to-wear investment in Egypt, aiming to increase employment to 3,000 people.

Sahin revealed that revenue from their ready-to-wear operations in Egypt reached €60 million ($63 million) in 2024. He emphasized the company’s consistent growth in every country where it operates.

Speaking at the promotional event for his autobiographical book From Zero to the Summit in Antalya, Sahin shared further insights into the company’s projects.

Appeal to Minister Simsek: These projects may bring in foreign currency

Sahin stated that preparations for new factory investments in the textile, tourism, and packaging sectors are complete. Highlighting plans for a textile factory in Türkiye’s Elazig province, which will employ 1,000 people, he explained that the facility will enable cost-efficient production, catering to European buyers seeking more affordable products.

Reminding attendees that the company operates the European Free Zone in Tekirdag, Sahin noted its popularity among investors. With a trade volume of $3 billion and 150 companies currently active in the zone, he remarked that they are struggling to accommodate major incoming firms. Addressing Türkiye’s Minister of Treasury and Finance, Mehmet Simsek, Sahin requested support, stating, “There are many projects that will generate foreign currency.”

Construction expansion for Syria and Ukraine

Sahin also signaled new construction projects in Ukraine and Syria, both heavily affected by war. “The situation worldwide is dire, but action will be taken. We will contribute to these countries,” he stated.

Drawing attention to projects aimed at reducing carbon emissions, Sahin said, “We are producing recyclable packaging. We started with 10,000 square meters and have invested in solar energy systems (GES) for our factories. Our products are manufactured without carbon emissions, allowing us to be both profitable and environmentally friendly.”
