Turkish banking agency greenlights 3 new banks
The Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BDDK) has granted operational licenses to Marin Yatirim Bankasi, Aytemiz Yatirim Bankasi and Adil Katilim Bankasi.
The decisions of the BDDK were published in the Official Gazette on Sunday.
2 development and investment banks
Following examinations and evaluations under Articles 7 and 8 of Banking Law No. 5411, the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BDDK) has permitted the establishment of Marin Yatirim Bankasi and Aytemiz Yatirim Bankasi as development and investment banks, each with a capital of ₺1.5 billion ($46.59 million).
Marin Yatirim Bankasi’s founders include Mehmet Koc, Sefa Koc, Noman Tekin, Meltem Suloglu, and Yavuz Duranoglu. Aytemiz Yatirim Bankasi’s founders are Aytemiz Finansal Hizmetler, Ismail Aytemiz, Huseyin Aytemiz, Ahmet Aytemiz, and Kerem Aytemiz.
Digital participation bank
In addition, based on the evaluations under Articles 7 and 8 of the Banking Law No. 5411 and in accordance with Article 6 of the same law, the BDDK has approved the establishment of a digital participation bank Adil Katilim Bankasi with a capital of ₺3 billion.
The owners of this bank include Ali Emre Balli, Murat Yonac, Ozberk Cetinkaya, Ali Pasli and Fahri Akcan. It will operate in compliance with the principles specified for digital banks in the Digital Banking Regulation.
