Turkish Airlines Technic signs maintenance agreement with India’s flag carrier

Turkish Airlines Technic, the maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) center of Türkiye’s flag carrier, has signed a new agreement with Air India Express, a subsidiary of India’s flag carrier, Air India Group, to provide maintenance and spare parts support for the airline’s Boeing 737 fleet.

According to a statement from Turkish Airlines on Tuesday, the deal was signed at the MRO Middle East exhibition in Dubai and covers maintenance and spare parts supply for 190 Boeing 737-8 and 737-10 aircraft.

Under this agreement, Air India Express will benefit from Turkish Airlines Technic’s extensive component pool, maintenance, repair, overhaul, modification, and logistics services.

A strategic move for Air India Express

Leveraging its global supply chain and technical expertise, Turkish Airlines Technic will continue to enhance Air India Express’ operational efficiency and fleet reliability.

Mikail Akbulut, CEO and board member of Turkish Airlines Technic, expressed his satisfaction with the strengthened collaboration, stating, “This extended partnership reaffirms our reliability in component maintenance and repair services. With our expertise and global supply chain, we will maximize the airline’s operational efficiency.”

Air India Express CEO Aloke Singh also welcomed the renewed cooperation, saying, “This strategic partnership will further strengthen our maintenance and repair capabilities, supporting the rapid expansion of our Boeing 737 fleet.”
