Turkish Airlines resumes Afghanistan flights in May
Turkish Airlines plans to resume flights to Afghanistan on May 21, with four weekly flights between Istanbul and Kabul
Turkish Airlines is preparing to make an important development by resuming its flights to Afghanistan, which were suspended in 2021 due to the U.S. withdrawal from the country.
Starting May 21, Turkish Airlines will operate four flights a week between Istanbul and Kabul on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
The decision to resume flights comes after a period of uncertainty and disruption triggered by events surrounding the change of power in Afghanistan.
Turkish Airlines, like many other airlines, had temporarily suspended flights to the country due to security concerns and instability.
Th last flight of Turkish Airlines from Kabul was on Aug. 14, 2021.
