Turkish Airlines released its passenger and cargo traffic data for October, revealing that the airline transported 7.1 million passengers in that month alone, bringing the total number to over 72 million for the first 10 months of 2024.

According to the data, the passenger occupancy rate for October stood at 84.6% on domestic flights and 82.5% on international routes.

From January to October, the overall load factor was recorded at 82.3%, with international flights achieving an 81.9% load factor and domestic flights reaching a high of 86.8%.

Turkish Airlines also reported a 4.8% year-over-year increase in available seat kilometers (ASK) for October, reaching 21.8 billion, compared to 20.8 billion during the same period in 2023. For the January to October period, total ASK grew by 8%, from 196.8 billion in 2023 to 212.6 billion in 2024.

Outgoing international passengers for the month numbered 2.5 million, bringing the total to 26.5 million from January to October, marking a 6% increase from the same period in 2023. The data also highlighted that the airline’s fleet expanded to 472 aircraft by the end of October.
