Turkish Airlines announced on Monday that it will launch flights to Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia, on Dec. 10, expanding its network in Southeast Asia.

According to a statement from the airline, Cambodia will become the seventh country served by Turkish Airlines in the region, while Phnom Penh will be its 11th destination there.

The new route is expected to positively contribute to trade between Türkiye and Cambodia, further strengthening the airline’s Far East network, which will expand to 20 cities and 21 airports.

Flights will operate three times a week, departing from Istanbul to Phnom Penh on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, and returning from Phnom Penh to Istanbul on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

Commenting on the development, Turkish Airlines Chairman of the Board and Executive Committee Prof. Dr. Ahmet Bolat highlighted the airline’s ongoing efforts to enhance its presence in Asia.

“We are continuously expanding our flight network in the region and strengthening our connections with strategic locations,” Bolat said.

“Phnom Penh flights will be a significant step in advancing this goal. Our new route to Cambodia will open up new opportunities for both tourism and business. Additionally, as the only European carrier operating flights to this destination, we will further solidify our leadership in the region.”
