Trade Minister Bolat to visit Pakistan to strengthen economic, trade relations
Minister of Trade Omer Bolat will pay an official visit to Pakistan, accompanied by a delegation made up of the heads of Turkish business umbrella organizations and businesspeople on Aug.7-9.
The visit aims to further strengthen the economic and trade relations between the two countries. Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif will receive Minister Bolat in Islamabad on the first day of the visit.
On the same day, Minister Bolat will hold bilateral meetings with Pakistani Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb and attend the Türkiye-Pakistan Business Round Table Meeting.
The meeting will discuss strategies to enhance economic cooperation between the two countries. Additionally, the Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEIK), the World Turkish Business Council, and the Turkish Embassy in Islamabad will organize a meeting to bring together Turkish businesspeople with investments in Pakistan.
On Aug.9, Bolat will meet with Pakistani Minister of Commerce Jam Kamal Khan in Karachi. Following this meeting, he will open the 2nd Karachi International Food and Agriculture Fair (FOODAG ’24) together with Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and visit the fair area.
Furthermore, the visit aims to deepen the relations between the two countries, which have developed in many fields, especially in areas such as the defense industry, contracting and energy, and to elevate these relations to levels that reflect their real potential.
