Tour costs in Türkiye remain stable for Russian travelers, sector leader says

Türkiye continues to be an attractive summer destination for Russian tourists, with tour prices remaining largely unchanged compared to last year, according to Maya Lomidze, head of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR).
Speaking to Russian news agency RIA Novosti, Lomidze told the Russian news agency RIA Novosti that the Turkish tourism sector was not planning any price increases for the summer season. “Compared to last year, there has been almost no change. Any increase has not exceeded 5%, which is very minimal.”

This price stability is largely due to key factors such as Turkish hoteliers’ decision to maintain current rates despite inflationary pressures, as well as the recent strengthening of the Russian ruble, which has helped absorb minor cost increases for Russian tourists, she said.
7 million Russian tourists expected to visit Türkiye
Lomidze added that ATOR forecasts a 10% year-on-year increase in the number of Russian tourists traveling to Türkiye during the 2025 summer season.
Earlier in March, Türkiye’s Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy announced that Ankara expects more than 7 million Russian tourists to visit the country this year — a figure projected to be matched by arrivals from Germany as well.
In 2024, Russia ranked as the top source of international visitors to Türkiye, with over 6.7 million Russian citizens vacationing in the country.
