Top 3 winners and losers as Turkish stock market navigates Trump tariff talks

The Borsa Istanbul stock exchange experienced a week of fluctuations as investors responded to domestic political developments and international concerns about potential tariffs from former U.S. President Donald Trump.
The BIST 100 index finished the April 7-11 trading week with a modest 0.01% gain, while the banking sector index declined 3.11% and the industrial index fell 0.19% during the same period.
Among sector indices, electricity posted the strongest weekly performance with a 5.60% increase, while the sports sector recorded the steepest decline at 4.62%.

Pasifik Eurasia Lojistik (PASEU) led the BIST 100 gainers with a 23.34% increase, followed by Batisoke Cimento (BSOKE) at 15.50% and Oba Makarnacilik (OBAMS) at 14.37%, according to financial news site Ekonomim.
On the losing side, Turk Traktor (TTRAK) experienced the largest decline at 12.31%, with Anadolu Sigorta (ANSGR) falling 7.61% and Anadolu Hayat Emeklilik (ANHYT) dropping 7.57%.
Total weekly trading volume on the BIST 100 reached ₺503.21 billion ($15.5 billion). Turkish Airlines (THYAO) was the most actively traded stock, with transactions totaling ₺50.47 billion, followed by Akbank (AKBNK) with ₺33.09 billion and Yapi Kredi Bankasi (YKBNK) with ₺29.28 billion.
