Millions of users are reporting access issues with Spotify, according to outage tracking site Downdetector.

Spotify down as millions of users report access denials
Number of users who reported access denials on Spotify reached almost 50,000.

Spotify appears to be experiencing a widespread disruption, leaving many unable to log in or stream content.

Spotify confirmed the outage via its official X account, saying they’re “checking them out.” However, users across the platform were quick to express their frustration. Many joked about switching to Apple Music, while others complained about missing workouts, marketing campaigns being disrupted, or simply being unable to enjoy their favorite artists.

When will Spotify be back?

Freezes, error messages, and infinite loading screens on the app may indicate a system-wide issue. Performance problems, especially on mobile devices, suggest a potential technical outage.

Spotify has experienced similar access issues in the past, often due to high server traffic or ongoing system updates, leading to temporary disruptions.

Experts recommend that users restart the app, check for available updates, or try accessing Spotify from a different device. These steps can sometimes help resolve individual connection issues while the platform works on a broader fix.
