In a recent statement, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloglu emphasized the need for Instagram to adhere to Türkiye’s legal regulations.

Uraloglu asserted that the platform must comply with the country’s laws, stating, “This country has laws; you have to comply with them.” His remarks highlight ongoing discussions about digital platforms’ compliance with national regulations.

“This country has laws; you have to comply with them,” Uraloglu said, underscoring that the platform must comply with legal regulations.

Uraloğlu also provided an update on the status of Instagram’s access in Türkiye, noting, “We have made serious progress.”

Additionally, he stated, “We will grant access once Instagram’s requirements are satisfied,” and declared that the platform will lift the access block upon completion of the necessary arrangements.
