The Directorate of Religious Affairs announces steps to be taken as part of austerity measures

The Presidency of Religious Affairs (Diyanet) has announced the cancellation of overseas programs and a reduction in personnel assignments abroad to a minimum. This decision comes as part of the Circular on Savings Measures. Exceptions will be made only for cases deemed very important or essential.

In a statement issued by the presidency, it was deemed beneficial to inform the public about the measures to be implemented by the Diyanet in accordance with the circular, which was published in the Official Gazette and has since taken effect.

“It is planned that all in-service training sessions will be conducted at training centers and other facilities owned by our Presidency, with suitable content delivered online.”

The statement also mentioned the return of one Audi A8 vehicle previously used by the presidency’s service. Additionally, it was noted that a hybrid working model might be adopted for eligible personnel.
