Peugeot has revealed a new generation of its large-sized SUV model, the 5008
Peugeot reiterated its commitment to becoming a fully electric brand while expanding its product range to meet all customer needs.
“Peugeot aims to offer a wider range of electric vehicles in Europe by 2025 compared to other brands, and the introduction of the 7-seater SUV model represents a significant step towards this goal,” the company stated.
The new E-5008 stands out as the only model in its segment to offer fully electric transportation for seven passengers alongside a spacious and comfortable interior.
The vehicle utilizes the expanded version of Stellantis’s STLA Medium platform, which showcases the flexibility and innovation inherent in this platform, providing customers with top-notch performance.
The new model measures 4.79 meters (15.72 feet) in length and has a wheelbase of 2.89 meters. It offers ample interior space for travelers, ensuring a comfortable journey. The innovative platform is designed to deliver best-in-class performance to customers.
The vehicle boasts significant additional benefits, such as up to 660 kilometers (410.12 miles) of range, a 30-minute charging time, comfort, performance, and efficiency. It also offers connected services like a travel planner, smart charging, vehicle-to-grid charging, plug-and-charge, and wireless updates via the internet.
The new Peugeot E-5008 will be exclusively produced in the Sochaux Factory in France, with gradual availability across European markets starting in the fall of 2024.
The new model will be offered in two trim levels, “Allure” and “GT,” with a simple product range accompanied by three additional option packages.
Furthermore, depending on the market, the vehicle will offer three fully electric motor options – 210 HP, 230 HP Long Range, and 320 HP Dual Motor 4-wheel drive – along with two different powertrain options: one 48V hybrid (136 HP) and the other a plug-in hybrid (Plug-in Hybrid 195 HP).
