Max kicks off in Türkiye, pricing and subscription fees unveiled

Warner Bros. Discovery has officially introduced its global streaming platform Max to the Turkish market as of April 15, 2025, marking the platform’s regional debut through the full rebranding and integration of BluTV.
The launch brings with it a dual-tiered subscription model aimed at meeting the varying preferences and viewing habits of Turkish audiences, offering two distinct plans that differ in both technical specifications and pricing structures. The “Standard” plan, which is priced at ₺229.90 ($6.03) per month or ₺2,299 annually, enables high-definition (HD) streaming on up to two devices simultaneously and includes the option for a limited number of offline content downloads, making it suitable for individuals or households with moderate streaming needs.
Meanwhile, the “Special” plan—designed to appeal to users seeking an enhanced viewing experience—comes at a higher monthly fee of ₺299.90 or an annual payment of ₺2,999, and includes advanced features such as 4K video resolution and Dolby Atmos audio support, along with the ability to stream content concurrently on up to four separate devices and store a broader selection of content for offline access.
Max will offer subscribers a wide-ranging content library that includes both Turkish productions and globally popular titles, such as the second season of “The Last of Us” and the final season of “The Handmaid’s Tale,” along with thousands of hours of programming from HBO, Warner Bros., DC Studios, Discovery and Cartoon Network.
The platform also features live and on-demand sports content through Eurosport, covering major events like Grand Slam tennis, cycling tours, and winter sports. These broadcasts will be included during the launch period but will move to a separate add-on package starting in September 2025.
Founded in 2015, BluTV was launched as a Turkish digital streaming platform under Dogan Holding. On Dec. 6, 2023, Warner Bros. acquired all of its shares and began the process of transforming the platform into Max.
