The long-awaited Istanbul-Burgas sea passenger line is set to open this summer, a move expected to stimulate economic growth in southeastern Bulgaria and increase tourist flow, Burgas Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) said to Money.bg.

Just before Easter, representatives of the BCCI met with the management of the Turkish company IDO (Istanbul Deniz Otobusleri) to discuss final preparations for the new maritime link.

The Chamber is dedicated to promoting the line to local businesses and tourism operators, highlighting the significance of direct maritime links in enhancing economic and cultural relations between Bulgaria and Türkiye.
