Alphabet Inc.’s Google is reportedly planning to preview a new artificial intelligence (AI) technology capable of taking over web browsers to complete tasks such as research and online shopping.

According to a report by The Information, the AI system, codenamed Project Jarvis, could be showcased as early as December.

Gemini language model set for December release

The AI technology is expected to be integrated into Google’s upcoming Gemini large language model, the company’s next flagship AI product. Project Jarvis will leverage AI to automate routine web tasks for users, potentially transforming how people interact with browsers.

The report notes that these plans remain tentative, and there is a possibility they could change before the official announcement.

Google declined to comment on the speculation when asked by Bloomberg, maintaining their silence on unconfirmed reports.
