Chinese auto giant BYD makes stormy entry into Turkish market in 32 days
Chinese auto giant BYD has made a remarkable entry into the Turkish market, achieving 6,591 vehicle sales within just 32 days following its new product launch on Nov. 15.
The event introduced an impressive lineup of six electric and plug-in hybrid models, which garnered significant attention from Turkish consumers.
The newly launched range includes the E-segment flagship sedan HAN, the all-electric AWD D-segment sedan SEAL AWD, the electric hatchback DOLPHIN, the all-electric D-SUV SEAL U EV, the plug-in hybrid D-SUV SEAL U DM-i, and the all-electric C-SUV ATTO 3. This robust lineup reflects BYD’s commitment to offering diverse options for Türkiye’s rapidly growing electric vehicle market.
“Following our November 15 launch, we successfully delivered 6,591 vehicles to customers in just 32 days, closing the year on a high note. With a total of 4,525 SEAL U DM-i sales in 2024, I anticipate BYD becoming the leader in Türkiye’s plug-in hybrid market,” Ismail Ergun, General Manager of BYD Türkiye, stated, expressing his satisfaction with the enthusiastic response from Turkish consumers.
Looking ahead to 2025, BYD Türkiye aims to maintain its momentum by introducing the sporty SUV SEALION 7 in the third quarter, further expanding its foothold in the Turkish market.
