Russian entrepreneur transforms a retired Boeing 737 into a breathtaking luxury villa on a Bali cliffside, complete with ocean views and a helipad

EXCLUSIVE BY MEHMET EMIN ARVAS —  A retired Boeing 737 passenger plane has found new life as a luxury villa on the edge of a cliff in Bali, offering guests breathtaking views of the ocean. The transformation is the brainchild of Russian entrepreneur Felix Demin, who introduced the unique accommodation through a YouTube video.

After retiring, Demin embarked on the ambitious project by purchasing the aircraft from an airline company. He then secured the necessary permits to transport the plane’s parts to the picturesque location, where they were assembled using cranes. The extensive renovation took two years to complete, turning the decommissioned aircraft into a lavish dwelling.

The stay at this one-of-a-kind plane villa starts at $1,600 per night.

Additionally, the property features a helicopter pad in the garden.

Demin’s project in Bali not only offers a vacation option but also highlights the potential for sustainable redevelopment of retired aviation assets.
