Asma Assad to start leukemia treatment
Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s wife Asma Assad has been diagnosed with leukemia. Assad was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2018 and beat breast cancer in 2019.
Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s wife, Asma Assad, has been diagnosed with leukemia. In a statement released by the Syrian Presidency, it was announced that Assad, 48, was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia after undergoing medical examinations and tests following the appearance of various symptoms and clinical signs.
It was stated that Asma Assad will be subjected to a special treatment protocol that includes isolation conditions and will therefore remain away from public activities.
Ama Assad was diagnosed with chronic myeloid leukemia, a type of cancer that affects bone marrow and blood cells.
