January tourism in Türkiye off to a strong start with 247,027 foreign visitors, a 2.05% increase year-on-year

According to a statement from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Türkiye, the country, which set a tourism record in 2023, welcomed 247,027 foreign visitors in January. This marked a 2.05% increase compared to the same month the previous year.

In 2023, Türkiye received a total of 56.7 million visitors and generated $54.3 billion in revenue from tourism with overnight spending per person at $99. 

Türkiye boasts a rich tapestry of cultural heritage, stunning landscapes, and diverse attractions, making it a top destination for tourists worldwide.
