Coach Santarelli leads Conegliano, Turkish national team to success
Daniele Santarelli, the head coach of both Prosecco Doc Imoco Conegliano and the Turkish national women’s volleyball team, has had a remarkable year.
Santarelli has proven his exceptional leadership by guiding Conegliano to seven major titles this year while simultaneously coaching Türkiye’s national team to victory in the Volleyball Nations League.
“The schedule has been demanding, but the energy from our fans and the team’s determination drive us forward,” coach Santarelli said, reflecting on Conegliano’s recent success.
Monica de Gennaro’s dominance in volleyball with 7 championship titles
Monica de Gennaro, Conegliano’s libero, has been instrumental in the team’s victories this year. De Gennaro, who also competes for the Italian national team, won seven championship titles in 2024.
These include the Italian League, the Italian Cup, the Italian Super Cup, the CEV Champions League, and the Club World Championship. Her outstanding performance has reinforced her status as one of the sport’s most accomplished players.
Conegliano’s unbeaten streak in Italian League continues
After their victory in China, Conegliano is preparing to resume their campaign in the 2024-2025 Lega Volley Femminile Serie A1 Tigota.
The team, leading the league standings with 39 points, will face Cda Volley Talmassons on December 26 at the sold-out Palaverde Arena. Conegliano has demonstrated unmatched skill this season, winning all 25 of their matches across different competitions.
“We are happy but also tired after our victory in China,” coach Santarelli noted. “The schedule calls us back to the court already, but we’re excited to share this triumph with our fans. Their support will fuel us for another successful match.”
Talmassons, currently fighting to avoid relegation, will face a significant challenge against Conegliano’s formidable lineup. Despite their position in the standings, the team is determined to perform at their best.
The December 26 match against Talmassons will also serve as a celebration of Conegliano’s accomplishments. Fans at the Palaverde Arena will witness a victory lap with the Club World Championship trophy and enjoy a presentation of the team’s achievements in Hangzhou.
