Manchester City advanced to the quarterfinals, defeating its guest Luton Town 6-2 in the English FA Cup

In the English FA Cup, Manchester City secured a 6-2 victory over Luton Town in the last 16 rounds on Thursday. With this win, Manchester City has advanced to the quarterfinals.

Erling Haaland netted five goals for Manchester City, while Kevin De Bruyne provided four crucial assists during the match. Mateo Kovacic sealed the victory for Manchester City with the team’s sixth goal.

It was Haaland’s eighth hat trick in a season-and-a-half with City . With 27 goals and six assists in just 29 matches this season, Haaland continues to be a key asset for his team.

He also became the first player to score five goals in an FA Cup match since George Best in 1970. 

Despite his injury woes, Kevin De Bruyne made his 12th appearance of the season for Manchester City, becoming the team’s top assister with 11 assists.

Luton Town’s goals came from Jordan Clark.
