Israel’s second song for the Eurovision Song Contest has been rejected by the European Broadcasting Union

Israeli media, citing Israel’s Foreign Ministry officials, reported that Israel’s song “Dance Forever,” like the first song “October Rain,” was rejected by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) due to its political content and its reference to the events of Oct. 7 between Israel and Palestine.

Israel is still trying to find a solution with the EBU, the news reports said, adding that the officials dealing with the issue are “desperate.”

A number of politicians and artists, including French, Swedish, Spanish, Irish and Icelandic politicians and artists, have called for Israel to be banned from the contest.
