Manchester United defeats Nottingham Forest

Manchester United left it late to beat Nottingham Forest 1-0 at the City Ground after sealing their place in the last eight of the FA Cup

In the last 16 rounds of the Cup, Manchester United faced Wednesday another Premier League team, Nottingham Forest.

While the first half of the match was goalless, Casemiro stepped up in the 89th minute with a well-placed free-kick, propelling United into the quarterfinals. Manchester United maintained its lead in the remaining minutes and advanced to the quarterfinals.

The Red Devils held onto their lead in the dying minutes, eliminating Nottingham Forest and setting up a mouthwatering clash against Liverpool in the next round.

The quarterfinal match, in which Manchester United will host Liverpool, will be played on March 16.
