U.S. President Biden’s upcoming State of the Union speech will highlight his accomplishments over the past three years and outline his future vision

President Biden will use his upcoming State of the Union speech to showcase his achievements over the past three years in office and present his vision for the future, aiming to garner support for a potential second term, according to a White House official.

In preparation for the address, a White House representative mentioned that Biden has accomplished more in his initial three years as president than many predecessors achieved in two terms.

The president is expected to emphasize the success of the bipartisan infrastructure legislation, which has facilitated the enhancement of national transportation systems, along with the bipartisan CHIPS law, which directed substantial funding toward domestic semiconductor manufacturing.

Additionally, Biden will touch upon his initiatives to eliminate unnecessary charges and the Inflation Reduction Act, which included measures to reduce prescription drug expenses.

The White House official highlighted Biden’s commitment to the general public, pointing to his efforts to reduce costs, proposals to raise taxes on affluent individuals and corporations, actions to safeguard reproductive healthcare and democratic principles, and his unity agenda, which encompasses priorities such as eradicating cancer, shielding minors from major tech companies, supporting veterans, and combating the fentanyl crisis.

Expressing a sense of urgency, the official stated, “We aim to accomplish as much as possible promptly. Our efforts will be unwavering this year, with further plans in store for a potential second term.”

Biden is set to deliver his State of the Union address next Thursday at the Capitol, a pivotal moment that will likely shape his reelection campaign by providing a significant platform to address a wide audience.

Sen. Katie Britt (R-Ala.) is scheduled to deliver the Republican response following Biden’s speech.
