Leaders’ visits set to enhance Egypt-Türkiye relations, Egypt’s FM says

Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry highlighted the substantial impact of official visits between leaders on promoting bilateral relations between Egypt and Türkiye

Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry stressed Friday that the official visits between the leaders of the two countries will have a “definite impact in promoting” bilateral relations.

Shoukry emphasized that the meetings between President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi aim to launch a new phase in their relationship, fostering greater coordination and addressing regional challenges. 

The minister expressed hope for increased cooperation and productive dialogue during the anticipated visit of the Egyptian president to Türkiye. 

Shoukry underscored that the momentum created by these visits would elevate the relationship’s importance at the public opinion level and encourage entrepreneurs to explore opportunities and maximize their benefits. 

The Turkish president’s historic visit to Cairo in February 2024 marked a crucial step in normalizing diplomatic ties between the two nations, paving the way for enhanced collaboration.
