Erdogan meets Madagascar’s Rajoelina, signs agreements
President Erdogan and Madagascar’s President Rajoelina discuss enhancing economic cooperation and regional matters at Antalya Diplomacy Forum
President Erdogan met with President Andry Rajoelina of Madagascar, who was in Türkiye for the Antalya Diplomacy Forum.
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated that there are many areas of cooperation between Türkiye and Madagascar, especially in economy and emphasized that the efforts to enhance and continue these collaborations are in the interest of both countries.
According to the statement from the Presidency’s Communications Directorate, the meeting discussed the relations between Türkiye and Madagascar and regional and global issues.
During the meeting, Erdogan noted that there are many areas of cooperation between Türkiye and Madagascar, particularly in the field of economy, and stressed that the continued efforts to develop these areas of collaboration are beneficial for both countries.
Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, National Defense Minister Yasar Guler, Presidential Communications Director Fahrettin Altun, and Presidential Chief Adviser on Security and Foreign Policy Akif Cagatay Kilic attended the meeting.
An “Agreement on Commercial and Economic Cooperation between the Republic of Turkey and the Republic of Madagascar” was also signed during the meeting.
