4.8 magnitude earthquake strikes off Antalya coast
A 4.8 magnitude earthquake was recorded in the Mediterranean late Saturday, according to the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD).
The quake struck at 10:13 p.m. local time, with its epicenter located off the coast of Antalya’s Gazipasa district.
The tremor, occurring 73.72 kilometers from Gazipasa, had a depth of 34.79 kilometers. No immediate reports of damage or casualties have been released.
Authorities continue to monitor the situation for potential aftershocks.
