Alperen Sengun delivered a dominant double-double performance as the Houston Rockets secured a thrilling 122-115 overtime victory against the Philadelphia 76ers. Sengun finished with 22 points, 14 rebounds, 7 assists, 2 steals, and 1 block, playing a pivotal role in his team’s success.

He scored 15 of his 22 points in the final quarter and overtime, including key shots that helped seal the win for Houston.

Jalen Green also had a standout performance, contributing 41 points, 7 rebounds, and 6 assists. Amen Thompson added 19 points and 13 rebounds, while Fred VanVleet chipped in with 13 points to support the Rockets’ offense.

For the 76ers, Tyrese Maxey led the way with 39 points and 10 assists, while Guerschon Yabusele contributed 22 points and 7 rebounds. Despite their strong individual performances, the 76ers were unable to overcome the Rockets’ late-game push.

‘Alperen Sengun is so good’

After the game, 76ers head coach Nick Nurse lauded Sengun for his high basketball IQ and remarkable court awareness.

Nurse praised Sengun’s ability to set effective screens, his sharp passing, and his composure under pressure, describing the young center as “so good” and a key factor in Houston’s win.

Rockets continue strong run with key overtime victory

This win marks another important step in the Rockets’ ongoing development, with Sengun continuing to prove his value as a key player.

The 76ers, despite strong efforts from Maxey and Yabusele, were unable to secure the victory, allowing Houston to maintain its momentum in the season.
