Türkiye adjusts taxable value rules for imported goods
Türkiye introduces new regulations for imported goods, adjusting the taxable value to include transportation costs up to the point of entry.
A presidential decree amending provisions of the Customs Law for imported goods delivered by mail or cargo was published in the Official Gazette on Nov. 27.
The amendment outlines new rules for calculating the taxable value of goods entering Türkiye via mail or express courier services, subject to simplified customs procedures and a single fixed tax.
The decree takes effect 30 days after publication.
