Türkiye also reiterated its willingness to assist in establishing internal peace in Lebanon.

“It is imperative for the international community to exert pressure on Israel to fully comply with the cease-fire and to provide reparations for the damages it has caused in Lebanon,” the statement said.

Broader regional peace advocated

Türkiye linked the cease-fire to broader regional stability, repeating its call for a comprehensive cease-fire in Gaza and an end to Israel‘s policies in the region.

Ankara underlined that a long-term solution in Gaza is vital for peace and stability in the Eastern Mediterranean.

“We take this opportunity to recall that in order to ensure regional peace and stability, a permanent and comprehensive cease-fire must be declared in Gaza as soon as possible and Israel must cease its aggressive policies,” Turkish Foreign Ministry stated.
